Land of Thousands of Islands

Rami Saari

Land of thousands of islands
you opened me like a book,
scribbling quickly internally
what you have yet to say:
immortality of lakes,
nights silent like a grave,
light, darkness, infinite,
that penetrates the body like man.
A collection of a homeland’s impressions that was
and is not anymore:
how I loved you,
earth coerces Man.
